Have you seen that video of the nail tech who brought down the repo man with capoeira on the show South Beach Tow?
That guy has nothing on my son. He twists, turns, bolts, and flips like nobody’s business!
Yesterday I took him to the doctor to get checked out after a fall. His pediatrician said he seemed fine, but I insisted he get his left ear thoroughly looked at. He had been rubbing it all day.
Neither the doctor, the nurse, nor I could get the kid to stay still. He is one strong little person!
After what felt like an eternity, the nurse left, saying: “I’ve got something. I’ll be right back.”
When she returned with her cell phone, I wondered what she was smoking. My son loves to put my phone in his mouth. I just knew she wasn’t about to give my child her phone to chew on.
I began to protest, but she assured me her phone was going to do the trick. “This works on my baby,” she said.
She began to tap and swipe her fingers on the phone. It chimed and created brightly colored lines and shapes.
Just like that, my son stopped crying and grabbed for her phone. She administered the pressure test to both his ears, and not a single peep escaped his lips. No kicks. No twists and turns. Not a single move–except for his little fingers on that phone.
He was enthralled, and I was intrigued!
When she finished, I asked her what game that was. She told me it was not a game, but a child lock. It’s an app you can download for free to keep your child from accessing your phone when they play with it.
Did you know about this? I had never heard of such an app before. It is amazing! It kept my son occupied long enough for me to comb my hair today. That may not seem like a big deal to you, but I usually cannot leave his sight without him losing his marbles!
This app is the TRUTH!
I downloaded the same one the nurse had: Toddler Lock (Marco Nelisson). You can find it here.
I’ve downloaded games for him to play with on my phone, but they don’t keep him from accessing other apps and dialing contacts. Some games have ads, and he ends up hitting the links.
To turn off the Toddler Lock, all I have to do is tap the four corners of my phone clockwise. So, until my son learns how to do that, I’m in the clear!
I highly recommend this app!
